How does SciBLIND differ from Qualtrics, Prolific, or Gorilla?

Qualtrics is a survey tool; SciBLIND is an experiment engine with surveys as one of seven paradigms. Prolific is a participant panel; SciBLIND integrates with Prolific (plus MTurk and Bakker) for recruitment but is the experiment layer. Gorilla and Lab.js require building studies from scratch; SciBLIND ships seven paradigms with publication-ready analytics and a per-session RNG seed for deterministic replay.

Can SciBLIND run experience-sampling (ESM/EMA) studies?

Yes. SciBLIND ships a full ESM/EMA scheduler with multi-channel prompt delivery (PWA push, Telegram, WhatsApp, email). Participants can snooze prompts from the notification itself. Schedules are configurable per study: fixed times, random windows, or signal-contingent.

Does SciBLIND export to R, SPSS, or JASP?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every study exports to CSV (long and wide formats) and JSON with methodology preamble and RT-quality flags. Exports round-trip into R, SPSS, JASP, and jamovi. A methodology-report PDF citing the platform version and RNG seed accompanies the data.

Where is SciBLIND hosted?

Accepted Answer

On Hetzner in Germany, with nightly database backups and a public status page at scaientist.statuspage.io. Self-hosted PostgreSQL, no third-party database. Production URL: blind.scaientist.eu.
